At Spanish Solutions we believe there are three key areas that need addressing when moving to a foreign Country and in our particular case the Province of Cadiz, Spain.
These three key issues are fundamental and go hand in hand with how we approach the needs of our clients:
1. Accommodation.
2. Orientation.
3. Administrative matters.
NB: Some steps may or may not be applicable to those clients wishing to rent, buying a second home or a rental investment but for those clients looking to buy and live here on a permanent basis, all steps apply.
Step 1 |
Confidential Client Profile Questionnaire. |
|
This enables us to make an assessment of your needs and desires. We can then draw up a list of properties and places with descriptions and photos that we will send you via e-mail, we then follow this up with a courtesy phone call a few days later to see if they meet with your approval and to acquaint ourselves and also discuss any thoughts and answer any questions you might have.
|
| Step 2 |
First point of meeting, Airport Pick-up |
| |
Airport pick-up from either Jerez, Gibraltar or Seville airports and Accommodation drop-off to temporary accommodation (optional Hotel, B & B, or rented property can be arranged by us). Discuss your arrival information pack, which includes orientation and property portfolio search plans, itineraries, time tables and maps marked with all your requirements and places of interest.
|
| Step 3 |
Orientation and property search (3 day, 5 day or custom package) |
| |
Includes; organised route and timetable arranged at a sensible pace that allows you to take things in, make sensible judgements and ask important questions. Property score sheets are provided in order for you to keep track, especially if many properties are seen throughout the day.
|
| Step 4 |
Negotiations. |
| |
If you find a property that you are interested in buying or renting, we can start to negotiate on your behalf, so as to secure your objectives. We make sure you understand the buying/renting process and the costs involved. We can introduce you to lawyers, notaries and surveyors. Accompaniment and translation service.
|
| Step 5 |
Obtaining necessary documentation |
| |
Obtain NIE (Tax Identification Number), when purchasing a property in Spain it is obligatory to obtain a NIE. Obtain residency card, (which is not obligatory for EU citizens living or working in Spain but it is mandatory to carry a form of identification at all times, so the credit card size ID card sure makes your life a lot easier.), obtain a certificado de empadronamiento (registering with the town hall).
|
| Step 6 |
All other Admin: Great and Small. |
| |
We can help you open a Spanish bank account, apply for a Spanish driving license (should you wish to have one), setting up accounts for all utility companies, advice on bringing pets, cars and electrical goods.
|
| Step 7 |
Education |
| |
Help with locating schools and organise meetings with heads (where possible).
Information on state versus private. Help with locating childcare, nurseries, universities
and Spanish language schools or private lessons.
|
| Step 8 |
Orientation of amenities |
| |
Short orientation trip around town to find out where your local shopping centre is, cinema, bars, restaurants, sports complex/facilities, swimming pool and local shops etc.
|
| Step 9 |
Removals |
| |
Introduction to a fully insured, local removals company recommended by Spanish Solutions. If their quote is accepted, we will deal with all correspondence to keep you fully informed at all times.
|
| Step 10 |
After-sales Service |
| |
We believe this to be a very important area. The settling in period can be very exciting but it can also be a huge struggle just to be able to do the simplest of things if you don’t speak the language of the Country you are in.
In the Cadiz Province you will need at least a basic grasp of Spanish. We will always be just a phone call away to help you with any problems, no matter how large or small. There are cultural differences and it will take you a while to adjust to them.
How long does this service last?
For as long as you need us. Just about any problem or uncertainty can arise, so if we can help we will and if we cannot, we will find someone who can. In some exceptional circumstances we may have to make a small charge just to cover our costs, (please check with us beforehand).
|
| Step 11 |
Members Area |
| |
Our members area is set up for members to help each other, they can inform both other members on what’s happening locally, where they live.
It’s a place to relax, chat, inform, and to be informed and to exchange experiences. A place to hang out, share a joke or look for information.
