Arcos is steeped in history and that’s why in 1962 it was declared
a monumental city. Perched high up on a sandstone ridge with sheer
precipices dropping away on both sides, it has spectacular views over
Arcos Lake and the stunningly panoramic view across the fertile Guadalete
valley. On a clear day you can see for miles and from one of the miradors
and balconies you can watch the Guadalete River meander into the distance.
Arcos is a very pretty white washed village, and on the route of the ‘Pueblos Blanco’s’. With all its arches, gothic churches, wonderful decorated patios, flowers and ironwork; it really is what an Andalucian town is all about.
There is a sheer magic about the old town of Arcos that is hard to
put your finger on but just ask anybody who lives there or who has
visited and they will tell you just how enchanting it is. Navigating
the labyrinth of inclining, narrow and winding cobbled streets is best
done on foot as you can discover the traditional restaurants and bars,
local craft shops as well as the Gothic and Renaissance churches and
buildings.
Arcos de la Frontera is located just 15 minutes from Jerez international

Located 30km east of Jerez, the drive along the A 382 takes you through pretty wheat and sunflower fields, vineyards and fruit orchards.

The Novo Arcos Development is situated 1km from the Town centre, it
benefits from a prime location with just 8 minutes walk to the local
restaurants, bars, shops and every amenity and 5 minutes drive from
the highly rated championship golf complex of Arcos
Gardens.
The Costa de la Luz is 300 km long; it stretches from Tarifa at the Southern tip of Spain to the Portuguese border.
At least nine beaches boast the distinguished European blue flag award for clean beaches and water.

The coastline varies and changes from point to point, interspersing deserted virgin white fine sands with rocky coves and caves, beaches backed by pine forests or wild marshlands, golden beaches with promenades, restaurants and shops to white washed towns looking down on you.
For many months of the year you will find beaches just for yourself
and even in the months of July and August when most Spanish people
take their holidays you will always be able find a spot with a few
metres space surrounding you. The purest, finest sandy beaches with
their crystal clear waters are truly remarkable and have to be seen
to be believed. It would seem a beach is just a beach but when you
visit this coastline you will find there are different beaches to suit
everyone. If its to surf or swim off, to walk or exercise on, take
a romantic stroll or just to watch the sunrise or sunset, this magnificent
coastline has it all.
